Recently there have been small efforts to helping the average cell phone user back up their information so that they are not lost when their phone goes missing.
SIM card readers can be found at your local electronics shop, which allows the user to insert their SIM card into the device and upload the information off of their phone onto a separate storage unit.
Phone readers are also an alternative way of backing up. By simply plugging the reader into your phone you can transfer your info effortlessly onto the storage unit.
Websites have now been made to cater to this issue of cell phone number storage and directory. One site in particular is called www.telatango.com and allows registered users to search and store friends’ phone numbers within the network and request their info for personal online storage.
Loosing a cell phone is never fun, but with a back up plan you could avoid the extra heartache of retrieving all your information one contact at a time.
