The world's worst dressed have been named and shamed by infamous octogenarian fashion critique Richard Blackwell in his 47th annual roll-call of ill-advised sartorial scrapes.
 
One-time buddies Britney Spears and Paris Hilton drew for the notorious top spot and were blasted as "two peas in an overexposed pod" by Mr Blackwell's Worst Dressed List. He took particular offence to them being "style free and fashion deprived".
 
Other musical veterans joined them with Christina Aguilera and Lindsay Lohan being criticised for her choices of leggings and short jumper dresses.
 
Mariah Carey was deemed "the queen of catastrophic kitsch" while Mr Blackwell spared no punches with UK royalty and branded the Duchess of Cornwall Camilla Parker-Bowles "a royal wreck" for her feathery hats and simple suits.
 
Mr Blackwell has been compiling this list since 1960 after being a fashion designer in the 1960s and gaining a cult-like following in the media.
 
He reserved praise this year for Angelina Jolie, Kate Winslet, Helen Mirren and Princess Charlotte of Monaco.
