Boy oh boy, the karma chameleon himself, Boy George, was denied a visa and has been forced to cancel his planned North American summer tour. But don't worry, he still loves America and, by George, his fans still love him.

Boy George has cancelled his North American tour after U.S. authorities denied him a visa due to a pending legal case in Brtitain, Reuters reports.

The former "Culture Club" frontman's tour was scheduled to kick off July 10 in Aspen, CO and conclude in Dallas, TX on August 23.

"I love America and I am really sad that it appears that I am not allowed to visit a place I have called home at various times in my life," George is quoted as saying. "But what has happened to me has nothing to do with the American people -- they are kind people with big hearts."

The 47-year-old musician, whose real name is George O'Dowd, is awaiting trial in London on charges that he falsely imprisoned a man.

I will not miss him.

I am glad that they apply the laws to everyone at the same way. I 've read somewhere that Martha Stuart had her visa deneid to UK recently.

How do you "falsely" imprison someone I wonder? Did he not realise what he was doing? Or is it only "alleged"? Or perhaps he "correctly" imprisoned a man. Ah the world is full of mysteries.

Haha. So true...
