With great regret, The Chavelles recently announced the departure of Ukulele Ray, who took the reins, last Fall, as lead-singer and frontman for the legendary classic rock cover band.
According to Ukulele Ray, the reason for the departure, is due to his ever growing schedule demands.
"With the release of my new album; promotional commitments to he Box-A-Lele Company and FreeLife™ augmented with a pretty heavy appearance and show schedule, I just don’t have enough time for rehearsals and gigs with The Chavelles," Ukulele Ray said.
"It’s been a great run, and I was thrilled to include them, with me, on three bonus tracks on my new album."
Ukulele Ray’s new album features The Chavelles backing him on "Susie Q," "The BreakUp Song" and "Little GTO."
"It is my hope, that we can all get back together, this summer, and work on a whole album of classic rock covers," Ray added.
