The Ghost of Hank Williams

You can tell where a man's from by the shape of his hat. Judging by the shape of JIMMY STEWART's hat you can tell he is as close to AMERICANA as it gets.

I recently had the privilege of witnessing one of Jimmy Stewart's performances alongside his equally talented band at a local watering hole called P.J. CARNEY's. Just for the record P.J. Carney's is a neighborhood hangout located in the prestigious Mid-Town East section of Manhattan only without the attitude. At P.J. Carney's on any given evening one has found celebrities such as Colin Farrell or Van Morrison casually stop by as was the case on January 6, 2008 where I just happened to catch a raw intimate glimpse of Jimmy Stewart and his Band.

There are a few things not to confuse within this article besides the difference between P.J. Carney's and the historical P.J. Clarke's nearby. The name Jimmy Stewart not to be confused with the former actor Jimmy Stewart. This is fair to say and explains why Jimmy Stewart the Musician recently landed a contract with WARNER BROS.
It wasn't a Typical Evening at a Regular Bar with a Regular Band but a Pre-lude to Country Music's Next Superstar.

Jimmy Stewart follows a unique tradition of legendary country music singers originating from Hank Williams all the way to Garth Brooks with a little in-between George Strait, Randy Travis, and Clint Black.
Jimmy has some tremendous shoes to fill fortunately the "Big Boys" at Warner Bros. did their homework on this one.
Jimmy's influences not only include the musical genius of "Flatt & Scruggs" but he has performed with Grammy Award Winners "Brooks & Dunn" not to leave out the fact that his band is outstanding in their own way.
The Stand-Up Bass Player MIKE BUB is a Grammy Award Winner, 5x IBMA Bass Player, and 4x SPBGMA Bass Player of the Year. It doesn't get better than that. The rest of the band members are as charismatic to watch as their sound is to listen. One can imagine their credentials as well.

Anyway I just happened to stop by P.J. Carney's that evening for a drink with some friends on my birthday. I never saw it coming. But then at P.J. Carney's you never know who's gonna show up.

Jimmy Stewart and band is as entertaining as it gets. As a native of Texas and a friend of George Strait I was ecstatic that the patrons and friends of PJ Carney's were entertained by this class group. Hope it made your b-day soldier.

YOU KNOW IT STANLEY..STUFF LIKE THIS MAKES GETTING OLDER ALOT BETTER...JUST ASK LES PAUL.. and as far as Texas "You Don't Mess With Texas". I sure don't. Look what happened to that Kennedy fella. Any place that has Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, The Big Bopper to name a very few has my respect..

Once again, Ace Preston show why it's good to have a camera with us at all times...

Man Jordan I miss so much stuff cause I actually carry my camera around 10% of the time. That is a disgrace for a photographer and then 80% of that I don't bother to shoot so you only see about 2% of my world.

I only happen to have my camera that day cause I was going to Pennsylvania for a "CHRYSLER" shoot.

Example: In the last 2-3 months with camera in hand I refused to shoot Britney Spears, Lindsey Lohan's father, Sarah Jessica Parker while filming "Sex & The City" the movie in front of Tiffany's, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band Live on "The Morning Show" Rockefeller Center, The cast of the new Robert DeNiro & Al Pacino movie "Righteous Kill" etc...etc..The list is quite long..When I don't care for someone or something I don't want their image...It's called integrity...You got to be a low-life paparazzi for that kind of trash..I think that here at NowPublic WE are beyond that type of stuff.
