'What the hell was I thinking?': Britney Spears opens up about her breakdown for the first time
All of us have 'mental health' and from day to day it changes but when things go wrong one can think you're the only one who's ever felt or is feeling this way.
It's good to see Britney coming back from her own mental health problems and talking a little about them. The main thrust however of this new MTV documentary will be to publicise her new album 'Circus' which will be released at the start of December.
If at some point she feels able to talk openly about her time in hospital and the regime of medication and therapy that she went through to get back to a position where she's able to relaunch her career that could bring hope to the many who feel 'on their own' battling with mental illness.
Britney Spears has spoken for the first time about her highly-publicised public meltdown.
In an upcoming documentary designed to help launch her comeback, the singer candidly addresses her erratic behaviour and her ongoing battle with loneliness.
'I sit there and I look back and I'm like, "I'm a smart person. What the hell was I thinking?"' Spears said in an interview to air on MTV on Nov. 30, two days before the release of her new album.
'I've been through a lot in the past two or three years, and there's a lot that people don't know.'
'Sometimes I think I get kind of lonely because you don't open the gate up that much, you know I mean?' she continues.

I'm not a fan of Britney particularly, and I know she has an album coming out but I think it's admirable she is willing to speak out about her illness, and I hope that people don't make light of it.

Rachel - I hope the same - I hear the interview mainly see's her 'setting the story right' rather than going in too deep on the mental health story - but i hope that the media 'Circus' doesn't pushe her over again..

I think it's really great she is going to speak about it. I just hope she doesn't make light of it herself - like she did with some issues in her other reality show with that awful Kevin Federline.

Yeah, I really hope shes taking this seriously. It does seem like shes getting back on track compared to a year or two ago.
