Zambia 2004, near Kaingo camp,  as I asked Patrick (our A++ guide) what was the most exciting moment this year on safari. But before he could answer me,  we came near a dead impala. A leoapard kill?? Yes a leopard and cub, were hiding in the thick bush of the Luangwa plains. The beautiful animal was detected by a barking antelope. The mother leopard kept quiet and then a warthog and cub came near by. My camera was rolling and the leopard killed the warthog cub. Patrick said; I wanted to tell you a story about an african wild dog, but this... was the top of the year. He told us people of national geographic were trying to film this during 3 months but went home without the images of a leopard kill.

ch2chcho, I'm kicking my laptop right now, but it isn't helping... the video still won't load. Not your fault, though, mate-- we'll get it fixed. In the meantime, congratulations on scooping the mighty National Geographic!

Wonderful story -- simple, short and beautifully told.
