Diva Den Studio is not your ordinary dance or fitness studio.

Starting as a pole dance studio, Summer Morris, the owner, or as she playfully likes to call herself "Head Diva", has big plans for this quant studio.

"I will be bringing all kinds of dance and fitness classes into the studio, including my own pole dance classes", says Summer. Yoga, pilates, chair dance & hip hop to name just a few. "Don't be fooled by the name though!" exclaims Summer, "Many classes will be open to not only women, but men and children too, however, classes that are tailored towards adult women will not be open to men or children"

But still, the main focus of the studio, is of course, the poles. With 5 removable poles, there's no need to share. Pole dance classes are limited to 4 women. "I've taught anywhere from 1 to 20 students at a time, I find that by limiting the number of students to 4 women, eveyone gets the attention that they deserve so that they can progress faster than they would in a large class or even classes that only have one pole."

Still not sure that pole dancing is the best workout for you? Consider this...

Pole Dancing burns 250-500 calories PER HOUR...yes you read that right. Why though? "It's because you're doing an aerobic activity, raising your heartrate, but at the same time you're using your muscles to support your body wieght on the pole, thus increasing your muscle tone and burning fat. You will also improve your posture and flexibilty." says Summer.

Oh, and no need to worry about looking your best, "The lighting is perfect." says Summer, "You don't need to be shy, Diva Den's lighting hides any cellulite or stretch marks you may have, and you know most of us do!"

According to Summer, anyone can pole dance. Any age (over 18 of course!), any size, shape or fitness level. "You don't need any prior dance experience, after all, that's why you're taking the class...to learn!" exclaims Summer. "I've taught women from 18 years old to 73 years old, small women and larger women, I'm there to help you feel good about your body and your curves, to learn to move your body in ways you didn't think you could!"

Diva Den Studio is located at 2005 SE 82nd Ave in Portland, OR. For more information, please visit http://www.pdxpoledivas.com
