Private file sharing between friends is the new big thing. Here's a step by step tutorial to help you share specific folders on your PC with your friends (and vice versa):

(Before you begin, you need to go to www.gigatribe.com and download the free software.)

1-Minute Guide to Using GigaTribe
While there are many more features to discover in GigaTribe, this brief guide is a crash-course that will get you running in moments!
First, you need to share some folders with your friends. After you've launched GigaTribe for the first time, go to the network thumbnail and click on the "Modify my shared folders" command.

Next, navigate to a folder you want to share on the left side under the "My desktop" heading, (double click on elements to go deeper within them), and select it. Then, click on the "Share folder" command on the left:

Select the "Internet access" option if you want this folder to be available to you from a web browser (useful if you want to access your computer from a remote location). Next, click on the "Share" button. The folder will then show up on the right hand side under "My shared folders"; this is what you and your friends will have access to. Repeat as necessary to add other folders.
Next, you need to start inviting people into your network! To invite someone into your network, click on the home icon at the top left ( ) and then on the invite user icon at the top right ( ). Choose the second option to invite new users. When your friend has installed and launched the software, he/she will receive the invitation in the "system messages" area of the Chat thumbnail. Once he/she has clicked to accept your invitation, he/she will now appear in your Network area under the list of users.
When your friend is online, his/her name will appear in black and you will be able to double click on his/her name to explore his/her shared folders. To download a file or an entire folder, simply select it and choose the "Start download" command on the left side (blue area). You can go to the "Transfers" thumbnail to see the status of your download; when the download is finished, you can retrieve it in the GigaTribe folder in "My Documents"!

These are the basics to get you started! For more information, see the Help section of the website which has more details about the various features and options that are available to improve your GigaTribe experience.
