JetSet Crew is a global travel and social club based in Vancouver that plans amazing parties. You've probably heard or seen their famous James Bond party, usually held at the Vancouver Club every year. [The tickets are always sold out.] Well, thanks to Craig Stowe who is the host with the most and one of his sponsors France Hui who also heads up FHS events amongst many clever projects, I got a chance to check out the action packed haunted house this past weekend at the Gabriola Mansion.
Otherwise known as the Macaroni Grill, the heritage mansion on Davie Street hosted over 300 guests dressed up in the freakiest costumes. Heineken sponsored the event, while Patron tequila and Belvedere vodka also made an appearance during the night and the next day, cause the hang-over was intense. The music was amazing, spinned by DJ Leanne and DJ Jesse James. Urban Rush's Fiona Forbes made a brief appearance as Audrey Hepburn a la "Breakfast at Tiffany's. I was dressed as a 1980's Jane Fonda-esque aerobics instructor, although many people though I was one of the girls from the Eric Prydz music video "Call Me." Either way, my favourite costume was a guy dressed up as a Facebook profile page. His head was the profile picture and he let people write on his wall! Awesome.
Check out the pics below and watch for their next event on November 17th, which is called Goldfinger. It should be a golden time.
