Santa Cruz Island, Galapagos Islands, Ecuador.
Santa Cruz Island hosts the largest human population in the archipelago at the town of Puerto Ayora. The Charles Darwin Reserch Station and the headquarters of the Galapagos Nationa Park Service are located here.
The Giant tirtoises can weigh upto 500 lbs. and live upto 150 years. There are now only about 15,000 surviving in the Galapagos. They feed on grasses and the leaves of shrubs and cacti.
