I have no doubt that strapping yourself into a small seat on top of a fuel filled rocket accelerating at death-defying speeds throwing you into outer space is pretty stressful - but this is just unbelievable - yet, NASA confirms it, saying the information is based on anonymous interviews and is unsubstantiated.

It cited a special panel studying astronaut health, which found "heavy use of alcohol" before launch that was within the standard 12-hour "bottle-to-throttle" rule, according to Aviation Week & Space Technology.
