Breast cancer vaccine hope raised

As the UK launches it nationwide free vaccination programme against HPV the virus associated with cervical cancer we get news of a possible vaccine against breast cancer. Early days yet but if the results in mice can be replicated in humans this could save thousands of lives.
A new vaccine has completely eliminated a type of breast cancer tumour in tests on mice, say researchers.
The vaccine targets breast cancer caused by an excess of a protein called HER2 - and even destroyed tumours resistant to current drugs.
The US team said it might also be used to prevent initial development of the tumours in cancer-free women.
But UK experts warned the vaccine was at a very early stage, and it was not known if it would work in humans.

At least this one most likely won't encounter the resistance and controvercy that surrounded the luanch of the HPV vaccine

Is the vaccine it self not put into question and it did have some controversial press in the past four weeks. Did it not?
