Levels of drinking amongst young teenagers seem to be in the headlines all the time but older drinkers pose a great danger to others when they drive and in terms of the nations health with middle age drinkers drinking the most. Here we see how drink driving is still even after all the campaigns rife on the roads of Britain.

Police officers carried out nearly 14,000 breath tests during one week last month, and found 6 per cent of drivers were over the limit.

Only Switzerland and Moldova had a higher proportion of drink-drivers - 6.6 per cent and 19 per cent respectively.

Deputy Chief Constable of North Yorkshire Police Adam Briggs, also president of road policing organisation Tispol, which co-ordinated the campaign, said summer was now associated with more instances of drink driving than Christmas.

My friend Robyne and I had a few beers ate a lot of hot wings, walked along Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis.  We people watched and had a good time visiting and seeing how the drinking half lives.  Too fast and crazy for us anymore.  Been there done that!  Guess we'll leave the heavy drinking to those who can sleep in and don't have to mow their lawn, feed their children, water the lawn and garden as well as clean the house all before noon!  Oh to be young and care free!  If I knew then what I know now!

Oh Marina! You still sound young to me. Me I get in from work see to the kids - sit down and have a meal together and then I think I'll maybe just catch some TV and - WHAM! i'm fast asleep head on one side dribbling until one of the kids wakes me - later a glass of wine and then its lights out.
