Child Abuse Case Study with Hypnosis...

Diane Felt Free From Her Past Diane Felt Free From Her Past

Diane , 39 year old PA had recently got married. At first all was well, but suddenly she discovered that the marriage had brought to the surface memories of childhood abuse from her uncle that over the years she had managed to suppress. In the past , Diane had found it difficult to trust ant man until she had met Dan , but now she began to feel hostility and anger towards him for no apparent reason. Diane stopped having sex or being physical in her relationship and made up excuses for her reasons such as she had severe period pains or headache. These feelings of Diane eventually turned in to depression. The main problem was that her uncle had moved abroad and stopped communication with the family and so Diane was unable to confront him with what he had done or discuss the issues with her family as she felt so ashamed. Consequently, Diane had sought refuse in food and casual encounters until she had met Dan and got married hoping to have a steady relationship, but now she had that she couldn't commit to sex with one person.

At last Diane had meet and married someone she really love so she plucked up the courage to visit a hypnotherapist to deal with her past. The therapist employed regression which allowed Diane to safely visit the traumatic events of her childhood. From the therapy Diane was able to realise that her uncle now longer had any power over her and empowered her to see that he was a weak, thoughtless and selfish man who had abused his role and responsibility as an adult and an uncle who had took advantage of a vulnerable young girl.

Through hypnosis, Diane was able to learn and understand on a subconscious level that the past was over and that she was the best person to control her destiny.

After Diane's fifth session she reported back that she now felt as if a giant weight and burden had finally been lifted off her shoulders and had began to forgive her father and let go of the past for sure. Her feelings towards her husband Dan changed dramatically and was able to be more intimate with him on a physical and emotional level. Furthermore, She felt more relaxed when alone with a man she had feelings for such as her brother, father and other male friends. At work her productivity had increased and she enjoyed more of a positive outlook on life.

davidpower, I wasn't sure what was newsworthy in this story. News should always be about posting current stuff - new things you've discovered. Please review What Makes News News. It can really help if you follow the old "W5" news formula -- making sure you have answered the questions: Who? What? Where? When? And Why? (You might want to check out our J-Tips for more help.)
