By April 22, there were 20 provinces and cities that had reported acute diarrhea, numbering 2,490 patients, including 377 positive for the Vibrio cholerae bacterium.

Dr. Nga announced that HCM City, the central province of Quang Binh and the northern provinces of Thai Nguyen and Phu Tho are free from acute diarrhea since they haven’t reported any new patient in the last 14 days.

According to daily reports by provinces to the Health Ministry, the number of acute diarrhea patients is falling clearly. However, Deputy Minister of Health Trinh Quan Huan told the health sector to continue to supervise the situation to prevent the boom of this epidemic because Vibrio cholerae still exists in the environment, such as in unhygienic food, surface water, and healthy carriers.

Updates on this disease

The cause of the recent acute diarrhea epidemic will be announced bythe end of this month, said Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tran Hien, Director of theNational Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology (NIHE).

Critical Todd

I'm not sure "harasses" is the right word in the title.  Perhaps "strikes" is more appropriate.  "Harasses" just sounds wrong... but it might just be me.
