Jay-R Patron grew up in a Metro Manila suburb where he learned at a very young age that things do not always turn out the way one expects.

Jay-R studied Journalism and Communication and Media Studies at the University of Southern Queensland in Australia. Here, he was able to reinforce his belief that things do not always turn out the way one expects.

He worked for Hawaii-based media organization, Greater Good Inc., as writer and media content provider. He left two years later but had not cut ties with the company. He works as part-time Philippine-correspondent.

At present, Jay-R sits as content coordinator for a multinational IT consultancy firm in its Manila-office.

He rides an almost dilapidated motorcycle, which is only a year old and plans to replace it with a bigger displacement bike in the near future (probably 10 years from now).
