Muslim Saves Jews in Subway Attack

Put aside all of the bullshit that you read about the ongoing battles between Muslims and Jews. 90% of us fall into the category of just simply being people and supportive of one another. I think we should send Hassan to Gaza and Israel and get that whole mess sorted out. What a great story. Kudos.
A Muslim saved a group of Jews being attacked on a New York subway in an apparent hate crime.Hassan Askari, a student at Berkeley College in Manhattan, came to the aid of Walter Adler when he and three friends were attacked on the Q train running between Manhattan and Brooklyn on the night of Dec. 7, according to The Associated Press.
Ten men and women, aged 19 and 20, verbally and physically assaulted Adler and his friends after they wished the assailants "Happy Chanukah" in response to their "Merry Christmas" wish.
Askari, 20, tried to fight off the attackers, which gave Adler time to pull an emergency brake on the Brooklyn-bound train. The assailants were arrested at the next stop.
The attack is being investigated as a hate crime. One of the attackers reportedly had been arrested previously for a hate crime.
"That a random Muslim kid helped some Jewish kids, that's what's positive about New York," Adler, 23, told AP. Adler suffered a broken nose.

Leonard Brody, an absolutely great news story. I agree with you, if people were more like this Hassan Askari, the perceived differences between people would disappear, because hate and prejudice are not reasoned or rational. Good Stuff, indeed. The Jews and Muslims are cousins from ancestry. But so were Cain and Abel. Go figure.

Leonard Brody, I like this story. It's good stuff. We're forgetting that the major religions are mostly political-social dogma created for mass control and have little to do with spiritual knowledge, feeding on ignorance and fear. After all, if one really really believes that God created everyone and everything, how can he/she believe that SHE consents to the killing of one of Her creations? I hope I'm not offending anybody who believes that God is a man. If there's any gender involved here, I'd rather think that God is a woman.:)

Leonard Brody, Good stuff. glad to see this in the news.. something really positive.. tho the hate crime was horrible.. the fact tht people are willing to help each other.. no matter what religion or caste.. we should send this guy to the middle east.. :)
