Virginia Tech Victim Juan Ramon Ortiz

Juan Ramon Ortiz, 26, was killed yesterday in the Virginia Tech shooting. He was a grad student in the civil and environmental engineering program, specializing in water resources. He is from Bayanon, Puerto Rico, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from San Juan Polytechnical University. He is married to Liselle Vega-Cortes, also a grad student in the GeoTechnical Engineering program at Virginia Tech.

I'm a mom and an environmental engineer, and an aspiring portrait photographer. Being a mom and a partner in a small business doesn't leave me much time to pursue the professional side of my photography. I have a love-hate relationship with policitics and news in general. I am also an evangelical Christian, a devoted yoga practicioner, and a fashion and entertainment enthusiast.
