Memorial Celebration for Lee Matasi - Graffiti Artist and Skateboarder

Lee Matasi memorial celebration at Leeside tunnel, by the PNE.  
 
Spoken word performers, beat boxers and boarders and artists will be among the folks gathering to honour the memory of Lee Matasi, a young man who was killed in December 2005 while trying to stop a fight outside of a nightclub.  Lee was a talented skateboarder and grafitti artist who helped transform the once derelict and garbage-laden tunnel into a vibrant, colourful space for both for skateboarders and the community at large.  At the Tunnel, Hastings Park, Just east of the PNE
 
The event runs from1 - 5 or 6pm.
