Evolution in the classroom is now heavily debated, but recent surveys put to the test by Kerry voters and Bush voters prove the strong differences in opinion. Only 6% of Bush voters believe that God did not help in the creation of mankind, next to 21% of Kerry voters, and 67% of Bush votes do believe that humans were created in present form, next to 47% of Kerry voters. These are just some of the various polls provided by CBS News. The polls were conducted with nearly 900 adults between a 5 day period over the phone. Even more surprising results came from other debated quesitons, such as "Should Creationism be taught in the classroom".
45% of Bush voters believe that Creationism should be taught instead of Evolution, beside a 24% of Kerry voters. These very different results prove that there is are various opinions in America, but these differences can be debated. Can you imagine such a debate between our Democratic and Republican politicians? There probably won't be an agreement in what should be done, which will be quite a seen. I'm just hoping these politicians will come to their senses to discuss such a topic, and let me tell you, it would make a damn good debate!
