OPERATION FIGHTBACK INC. calls for artist aurvey

Artspace Projects, a national, nonprofit organization and El Barrio's Operation Fightback write:

Dear Colleague:

We need your help! To be more specific, we need your thoughts and opinions.

Artspace Projects, a national, nonprofit organization and El Barrio's Operation Fightback are conducting a study of the space needs of artists. This study will assist in the transformation of East Harlem's former Public School 109 (PS109) into a multi-use arts facility that will include affordable new spaces where artists may live and work. All artists, of all artistic disciplines, are invited to participate by completing the following confidential survey.

The project may also include space for community use, educational purposes, and homes for arts and cultural organizations that are committed to the community’s development. If you represent an arts or cultural organization, there will be an opportunity at the end of the survey to sign up to receive more information about this project.

The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. At the end of the survey, please click the “finish” button to ensure that your responses are recorded.

We value your opinions. Your responses will help us determine your interest in a potential arts community, design a better facility, and assess your housing and workspace needs. Thank you for taking the time to participate in this exciting project!
