With the Whole World seeming to want to be More " Green " and everyone doing their bit to Save the Planet` is The Recycle Issue Still a Hot Topic or have we all gone into OverKill ?.  As a Warehouse " House Keeper "  My whole Working Week is spent collecting Cardboard Boxes and Used Plastic to Recycle them, I enjoy the fact that I am doing my little bit to save the planet` but I often wonder what is the point in it all while Cars are being produced at about One Million a Day and more Freight is being taken off the Rail network to be carried on Large 18 wheeler Trucks ! .. surely this is just Undoing all our Hard work and just Adding to the Already Big Ozone Problem.

I believe that ALL Cargo should be made` By LAW to be carried on the Railways across Large Countries and I think People should have to Pay to take their cars into Large Built up Cities or Towns, Allowing only Local Public Transport Systems into ALL City or Town Centre`s.

I think these two simple plan`s would save many lives on the roads and cut down the amount of Fumes.

CARLOS62, thanks for posting this. An interesting, unique perspective. I know I feel guilty about having a car in a (relatively) public transit-rich city. I think your ideas about taxation for cars is a good one. I know here in Canada you can get tax breaks for having a bus pass. Good start, anyway.

Good work.

I think the fact that there has been ONLY one comment on this humble story ... really tells the truth of How Much People Really care about the Recycling issue.

Thank you for your kind comments.

best wishes
