papu - the face of rajasthan

Papu, this gorgeous woman from the Thar desert of the Indian subcontinent has become the face of rajasthan, at least for photographers on FLICKR... I had often seen her pictures in the photostreams of fellow flickrites who like to shoot india... she has been an inspiration to many for the last many many years... she has also inspired the Duniya.org, an organisation that raises funds for tribal indian women... you can find more about it at www.papu.nl on my recent visit to Pushakr , i made sure i found her in the flea market and spent time with her and her lovely family !
