Natasha Wescoat is already a home name. With over 700 original artworks and art prints in the homes and offices of thousands worldwide, she's only scratched the surface. This year, she has been on ABC's Extreme Makeover Home Edition and has won ART.com's first call of art "Seasonal Landscapes", which was judged by Sidra Stich, former art history professor, curator, and current Executive Director of the Smithsonian American Art Museum's Lucelia Artist Award Program.

Her line of Jeweled Trees, a very popular series of art that has become one of the top sellers of ART.com as well as on her website, NatashaWescoat.com. "With The Waves", her most popular piece is the number 1 seller of ART.com's top selling art prints.

"With The Waves is from my Jeweled Tree series. It was created with acrylics on canvas. I wanted to express my love for fall through this piece. The earth and life flowing through its branches. With The Waves is about the cycles of life and embracing it with passion." The artist says, on the page of ART.com.

As the winner of this Call for Art, Natasha’s work will soon be featured on the home page of Art.com. Natasha will also receive a certificate of accomplishment. Finally, Natasha’s work will also be featured on the new Community pages (along with the work of the other nine finalists) and on the Marketplace site that will be launched in early 2007.

And already, this young artist has other projects under her belt. Natasha has authored several humble e-guides for artists such as the ever popular "Secrets of Powerselling Artists on Ebay" which she wrote in 2004, and "Passion of Art", a spiritual guide for struggling artists. Natasha's previous projects included a podcast show, and her very funny videoblog, ironically dubbed "Postmodern Artist".

"I really wanted people to get to know the real me. I wanted my fans and collectors to see that I'm just a gal who loved life and could be silly. But there is that fine line between professional and tacky. I try my best to procure important media while allowing myself to be silly in some of my work." Her videos include art tutorials as well as video sessions to teach artists about the business, marketing their art, and more. Wescoat's work is rising to popularity in the online and offline world. Though only at 24, she has had so much success, she continues to work towards other life goals. "I'm going to be a professor of Art History. Its going to take time, but I'm going to finish my masters one day and go into teaching. I love history." Natasha exclaims. The artist started in 2004, selling art on eBay auctions and through her website (www.natashawescoat.com) and live in Mid-Michigan.
