Tech savvy Preacher woos global interactive podcast users

October 7, 2007 -- List down your questions now as the preacher well-known for his mastery of the Bible, Eli Soriano goes wired and digital with Talkshoe.com’s interactive podcast to answer questions live from people around the world and interact with them in this one-of-a-kind online experience.

Soriano announced on his blog his first live podcast which starts October 7, 9 PM EDT (October 8 at 9 am in the Philippines).  To join his interactive podcast, anyone may visit this channel, and call the telephone number (724) 444-7444 using Yahoo, Skype and by downloading the ShoePhone, its call facility.

Soriano’s interactive podcast may still be viewed after its live airing online on his channel at the site.

The one-year old startup with promising features allows anyone to create his interactive podcast channel and to interact with other people on the website. Talkshoe.com is about the talk show idea of what it says is “enabling people to create, participate in, and listen to” interesting and entertaining talk-based content.

He recently recorded on the video sharing leader Youtube.com his first bible exposition, marking his first time ever to be seen by anyone in this popular site which has already registered more than 76 million unique visitors as of July.

In April this year alone, the often-dubbed “most sensible preacher of the times,” opened up his blog at Wordpress.com and has since then made more than 4,000 unique visitors daily.  Soriano is also known as Bro. Eli.

On his popular Truthcaster.com site, Soriano hosted an interactive and live video bible exposition.  Through the website’s chat feature, users are able to ask questions and get to hear the preacher’s answer directly as the questions were flashed on the chatboard.

When not on television, Soriano conducts bible expositions in different parts of the Philippines.  He also conducts expositions through live video conferencing online which are streamed to several countries.

His efforts online virtually made him one of the most tech savvy preachers in recent memory.  He believes that all means available at his disposal should be utilized to reach as many sectors of the world in the soonest time possible.

With sheer passion and sincerity to preach the true Gospel and undefiled teachings of God in the Bible, Soriano uses almost all means possible from print, radio and television and the Internet to fulfill the missionary commitment of his organization, Members Church of God International.

For more than 25 years now, Soriano hosts a radio-television program called Ang Dating Daan or The Old Path, an interactive-type of show that allows people to ask questions whether religious or not to the preacher during program airing.

Always ready with his biblically-based answers, Soriano challenges anyone that any questions about religion, faith and spirituality have answers from the Bible.  Sometimes he even answers questions regarding health, science and parenting.

Recently, his TV program of two decades won the “Most Informative Religious Program Award” from a Filipino-American community in Hollywood.
