VANCOUVER , CANADA - November 10,2007 When it comes to scams this one tops the cake ,I just purchased a new professional camera system about three weeks ago so i thought it would be nice to put my other camera on craigslist in Vancouver ,Edmonton ,Winnipeg ,Seattle ,and California so i was surprised when was checking e-mails a day later to find an e-mail from Washington ,D.C ( i never put the stuff on craigslist in D.C ). the person was willing to pay 300.00 more then i was asking "WOW" I thought ,when i read the e-mail more the person wanted to buy it for a cousin in Nigeria so we communicated through e-mail .The person asked for my pay pal e-mail address so they could put the money in my account asap so i sent the info to them, i got an e-mail from pay-pal ( so i thought ) that said the money will put in my account as soon as i sent the camera and as long as i scanned the courier/post office tracking no so got a hold of pay-pal they advised me that the buyer is a scam needless to say i still have the camera and i am still waiting for the money lol.

Thats a good one. usually what I do to such people is play along till the end.
If you can get an old courier/post office tracking no and edit it in Photoshop or Paints and to make it seem recent and send to the fool.
That's your way of making him look stupid when he present it at the courier/post office to collect the parcel.
All the same insist you have sent it and he should pay you.

They tried to scam me as well. Found my posting for my wedding gown on craigslist, tried to “pay” through paypal and sent a fake paypal payment confirmation, asking for a tracking number before they would deposit the money into my account. I was suspicious of this from the beginning but didn't want to write off the person right away. IT IS A TOTAL SCAM!!!! I'm so pissed that I wasted my time with this scumbag. That is pretty damn low, trying to scam someone out of their wedding gown. Below is the correspondence (I've removed my personal info) and two fake paypal emails at the bottom. I've reported this to paypal and craigslist.
