Quezon City Village Joins Philippines' Clean Up Day

Barangay (Village) Amihan in Project III, Quezon City, Philippines will conduct a village-wide clean up day on September 15, 2007 in celebration of the Clean Up the Philippines Day and the international Clean Up the World Weekend.

According to Ms. Maricar Gay Sipin Savella, Village Councilor and Clean Up the Philippines General Campaign Manager, the event will be participated in by Village Officials and other support groups and organizations in the Village.  High School Cadet Officers from Quirino High School were also invited to join the village-wide clean up event.

Aside from the clean up activity, a video on proper waste management will also be shown as part of the activity.
