Canadian hockey player dies in bike accident




21-year-old Vancouver Canucks' defenceman, Luc Bourdon, was killed just after lunch (Atlantic Time) today. Luc was on his newly purchased motorcycle when he lost control was fatally struck by a tractor-trailer. Weather is speculated to have been a factor as Environment Canada reported wind gusts at more than 50 km/hr in the area.


Luc helped Canada win gold at the 2006 World Junior Hockey Championships.
