This is a very strange story from the entertainment world.

Batman star Christian Bale was to be questioned by police over allegations he assaulted his mother and sister the night before the European premiere of his film, "The Dark Knight," British media reported Tuesday.

His mother and sister reportedly complained that the 34-year-old actor assaulted them at a west London hotel on Sunday.

Certainly, the Dark Knight taking his role a tad too far when he starts punching out his own Mom and Sis. To be a fly on the wall for that one. One wonders if he was in his Batman costume when arrested.

Certainly if these charges stick, it will not bode too well for it’s Dark Knight Star.

UPDATE | Christian Bale is out on bail...

Batman star Christian Bale was arrested Tuesday over allegations of assaulting his mother and sister, police and British media said.

The 34-year-old actor spent four hours at a London police station before being released on bail. The actor denied the allegations in a statement released by is British representative.

British media had reported that Bale’s mother and sister complained he had assaulted them at the Dorchester Hotel in London on Sunday night, a day before the European premiere of his latest film, “The Dark Knight.”
