Heh, this made me chuckle. Isn't Peter Frampton the one who always had an inflatable pig?

A reward has been offered for a giant inflatable pig which floated into the Californian desert during a concert by Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters.

Organisers of the Coachella Festival have put up a $10,000 (£5,090) bounty, plus tickets for life, for its return.

The pig, which is the width of two buses, has a checked ballot box for US presidential hopeful Barack Obama painted on its underbelly.

Waters said "that's my pig" as it drifted away during Sunday's gig.

UPDATE | April 30 - PIG RECOVERED IN PIECES: This story has sort of a sad ending: the pig did not survive its sojourn.

A giant helium-filled pig didn't drift off to hog heaven after it was released into the night sky during Roger Waters' performance at the Coachella music festival. It's been found - in pieces.

Two couples found tattered halves of the inflatable swine in their yards, a few miles from festival grounds in the Southern California desert.

Concert organizers had offered a $10,000 reward for the pig's return. On Tuesday, pieces of the plastic carcass were examined.

"That's definitely our pig," producer Bill Fold said.

The pig, which measured the width of two buses, was found by two families on their driveways in La Quinta

Hasn't the pig gone missing before?

It was very sad to see the pig fly away, but an amazing performance. I don't think the people that found the missing pig will think it sad or encourage them to vote for Barack Obama.
