Of all the games that launched with the deubt of WiiWare on Monday, LostWinds has been garnering the most attention.  I played it a bit last night and posted my first impressions on my blog.  Geek.com and weighed in with their review of the game and it is extremely positive:

This is not only the deepest and most fully realized game in the WiiWare launch, it’s the most fully realized game I’ve ever played on any similar service. As much as I love Xbox Live Arcade, this game absolutely blows away any game found there in terms of polish, gameplay depth, and aesthetics. It may not have the immediate, pick-up-and-play fun factor that others in the genre do, but it has a long term depth that grows on the player as the control scheme becomes mastered. This is a definite must buy for owners of the console looking to dive into WiiWare, and an absolute steal at $10.
This really is a wonderful game and I wish all the success such praise can generate for it.  It may be too much to hope that games of this quality will be the norm rather than the exception on Nintendo's game service but I'll keep my fingers crossed anyway.
