Today Show goes dumpster diving

Dear Today,

I like hard
news, but I enjoy Matt, Meredith, Al, and Ann, and I try to watch at least the
first hour when I can, even though I know the hard news often has been sifted
through by 7:20. Today, you had Tara Conner on at 7:30. That you had Tara
Conner at all nauseates me, because you cheapen your brand so much when you
dive into such tabloid garbage. But typically I hope that you’ll do this junk
after I’ve left for work. No suck luck today.

If the
housewives (or househusbands or retirees) that watch your show later in the
morning want to see Tara Conner, save it until the rest of us have gone for the
day. Please. If Miles O’Brien weren’t so damn smug every morning, it would be
easy for me to switch to CNN and tune out Today when you air garbage. I would
prefer to stay loyal to Today. Stay out of the gutter. Keep some class.
