Flash Floods Cause Havoc in India

Each year, floods, cyclones and mudslides in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />South Asia make a large number of already poor and destitute people even more so as they suffer the natural as well as man-made disasters. 25 lives have been lost and 200,000 people have been displaced by flash floods and heavy monsoon rains in India. Army has been called out to help in the northeastern state of Assam to help marooned villagers. The gushing floodwaters are taking everything with them.
