Indiana Officer's Wife Ran Prostitution Ring From Home

The Indianapolis area has had a lot of dirty cops come out of the woodwork lately. First, a handful of cops were caught selling drugs out of the evidence room from the Marion County Police Department. Then another police officer sold firearms to a felon. What next?

Aren't we supposed to trust our police? I say it's another generation of true PIGS.

GREENWOOD, Ind. -- An Indianapolis Metro police officer, his wife and a Marion County Sheriff's Office employee are accused of involvement in a prostitution ring run from a Greenwood home.

Johnson County Prosecutor Lance Hamner said Wednesday that arrest warrants were issued for Lori Vernon-Lee, 36, Jeremy Lee, 30, and Jerry L. McCory, 56.

Police said Vernon-Lee recruited women to be escorts to work out of her Greenwood home and was generally paid about half of the money the escorts collected when they performed various sex acts.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Vernon-Lee's husband, Jeremy Lee, took money from the escorts while wearing his IMPD uniform.

Another probable cause affidavit alleged that McCory paid one of the escorts to perform a sex act on him.

Hamner said escort services were advertised in Nuvo magazine. Vernon-Lee was charged with five Class C felony counts of promotion prostitution. Jeremy Lee faces one count of aiding in or promoting prostitution and McCory faces one count of patronizing a prostitute. Prosecutors said more charges are expected. Vernon-Lee's bond was set at $40,000. Lee's was set at $18,000 and McCory's bond was set at $2,000.
