Israel-Hamas truce begins Thursday

Hamas striking the peace deal has found their way to legitimacy in
the Mideast peace process, Hamas being winner in Palestinian election
but the world rejected them as radicals. Deputy Foreign Minister Syria said

Leaders hailed the efforts of Egypt to bring an end to the seige of
Hamas ruled Gaza strip, two are in midst of violence attacks and

for the groups to entera further dialogue aocked in violence,cause of concern for many countries and progress of globe.Israel further looks up for direct peace talks  with Lebanon, as their talks with Syria mediated by Turkey bear fruits.


 European Union on Wednesday welcomed,  "I welcome the news of the agreement between
Israel, Hamas and other Palestinian factions brokered by Egypt on a
mutual ceasefire in the Gaza Strip," said Benita Ferrero-Waldner,
European Commissioner for External Relations and Neighborhood Policy.

    "I appreciate Egypt's efforts to
facilitate this agreement because the people of Gaza and southern
Israel have suffered too long," she added.

Egyptian made magnificient efforts to bring peace between Israel and
Hamas, two erring group,the ceasefire beginning Thursday,Hamas the
defacto rulers of Gaza strip.Egypt official and Hamas spokesperson said earlier the ceasefire would

Gaza, as well as halt Israeli raids and air strikes in the Palestinian
territory.  Egypt and Hamas, which controls the coastal strip, both announced
Tuesday that a cease-fire will go into effect Thursday morning.

Army Radio reported that Defense Minister Ehud Barak, Prime Minister
Ehud Olmert and Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni all approved the deal.

Gilad emphasized Wednesday, however, that the truce does not constitute a peace deal.



"This is not a peace agreement. There is an understanding that is based
on the effectiveness of military activities until now, and the will to
stop it."Both sides have pledged to halt all hostilities and all military
activities against each other," Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman
Hossam Zaki said in Cairo Tuesday.

Gilad met Tuesday with Egyptian intelligence chief General Omar
Suleiman. The Hamas delegation from Gaza, who met with Suleiman at the
beginning of the week, is still in Cairo.Egypt efforts shuttling
between the parties to conclude the deal.

Defense Ministry official Major General Amos Gilad returned to Israel
overnight with the final agreement and reported to Barak.Israel
official said three days of calm, has pledged to ease the economic
siege of the Gaza Strip and allow a large shipment of raw materials and
merchandise through the border crossings.
A few days later the Egyptians have pledges to renew intensive
talks in Cairo for the release of Shalit. The talks will be coordinated
by Olmert's point man on prisoner negotiations, Ofer Dekel.

Shin Bet security service head Yuval Diskin deputed to evaluate whether
the clause in the agreement to cut the smuggling of arms significantly
has been kept. The arms smuggling goes via Sinai to the Strip. Israel
sees progress on these two fronts, it will remove its objection to the
opening of the Rafa crossing.

Defense Minister Ehud Barak stopped short of announcing the cease-fire.
He said: "When calm begins in the Strip, if it begins, it is hard to
say how long it will last." However, Barak also said it was important
to make all possible efforts toward achieving calm.

Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan said yesterday that indirect peace
talks between Israel and Syria held in Turkey over the past few days
were a success, and two more sessions have been planned for July. When
people can move freely between Syria, Israel, Palestine, Jordan and
Egypt, a great change will take place," Syria's Deputy Foreign Minister
Faysal Mekdadt old the Chicago Tribune the U.S. daily in an interview
Tuesday
