Mugabe and Tsvangirai by AlvarezGalloso

MDC Secretary General Tendai Biti accused the ZEC [Zimbabwe Electoral Commission] for organizing a coup when it postponed the round off elections until July 2008. Mr. Biti declared the move unconstitutional. Mr. Biti has asked the SADC [Southern African Development Council] to take a look at the situation in Zimbabwe including massacres as well send election observers. The Zimbabwe Election Support Network has reported that some of their members were killed, injured, with their houses burnt down.

In the meantime, G. Gono of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe has issued another banknote which is the ZW$500,000,000 [Zimbabwe Dollar] Bank Note ten days after the issuance of the ZW$250,000,000 Bank Note. The ZW$500,000,000 = US $ 2.00. Mr. John Robertson who is an economist doubts that the elections can be held in a deteriorating situation in Zimbabwe.
