AlvarezGalloso, I like this story. It's good stuff.
Assuming their methods are sound (and they used something like 3rd party/UN observers watching the people who send the vote results) this could be a revolution of democracy everywhere.

The ZANU-PF number still seems unusually high for a country in such bad shape...

For Rob Walker and jordan: thanks for your comments and for your evaluation. I had to mention the results from the Independent Results Centre of Zimbabwe Situation. I also had to look at the results before publishing them. According to the BBC News Website, South Africa is now joining the International Community in asking for the immediate release of the Zimbabwean Presidential Election Results. I would like to see how the results measure with the results released by Independent Results Centre.

Thanks PEP. South African Officials have just confirmed to the BBC that a Chinese Boat with cargo [arms] destined for Zimbabwe has arrived at Durban, South Africa. Mugabe's Justice Minister Patrick Chinamasa has accused MDC Presidential Candidate Morgan Tsvangerai of being a traitor. Nothing surprises me.

"impending genocide in Zimbabwe being orchestrated by Mugabe. " I think if you are a white person from Zimbabwe the genocide started decades ago. Mugabe has been supported by other black African leaders for far too long. Finally the people of Zimbabwe have shown the courage to vote against this butcher and the world community must support them.

Zimbabwean democracy is a highly scientific process by which the majority of people are free to vote just as long as they correctly choose the ZANU-PF despot who will get the most votes by any means possible.
The best argument for faith in democracy is NOT a quick conversation with the average disillusioned Zimbabwean voter. Even when Mugabe loses, he WINS again!
