good stuff:

If the initial vote was flawed, I just cannot see how a second vote will be any more reliable.

AlvarezGalloso

I agree with you insaniac but we still have to apply pressure on Mugabe and expose the flaws of this run off election.

AlvarezGalloso, I like this story. the very good reporting as always

AlvarezGalloso

Thanks politisite for your comments. The situation in Zimbabwe as I have repeated many times must be placed in the forefront. We in the International Community cannot turn our backs on the people of Zimbabwe suffering under a dictatorship that refuses to leave without a fight and is willing to take the rest of Southern Africa with it.

I'm glad Tsavngerai said that.

amyjudd, thank you for your comments. It was about time that Tsvangerai stated this and other realities that have been Zimbabwe under Mugabe. Everytime I read and write about the suffering of Zimbabwe especially in this 2008 Presidential Election, I think about the verse by Stevie Wonder in his 1980 song called "Jammin" which said "Peace has come to Zimbabwe". As I have wriiten before, was the peace that Stevie Wonder wanted for Zimbabwe one of violence against civilians for having voted against Mugabe?
